Description

This is a rare tsuba by Hirotoshi, a renowned metalworker from Mito who was a pupil of Tamagawa Yoshinaga. Crafted in the late Edo period, it features a design depicting Rin Nasei, a Chinese poet who loved plum blossoms and cranes. The tsuba showcases Hirotoshi's skill with shibuichi polished ground, sukidashi takabori, and inlay work, creating a unique aesthetic. It comes with a Tokubetsu Hozon Tosogu certificate.
