This is a Kiyomaro-style wakizashi by the Mukansa swordsmith Minamoto Moriyoshi, who was designated an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Kumamoto Prefecture. It features a wide mihaba, large kissaki, and a grand, powerful sugata with abundant activity in the hamon. Wakizashi in the Kiyomaro style by Moriyoshi are exceedingly rare and highly valued.
