NihontoWatchNihontoWatch松村勝成は忠右衛門と称し、会津正阿弥派の金工。一門は植物図の高彫表現を得意としており、勝成は代表工。この鐔は、色合いに深みのある四分一地をわずかに障泥風の竪丸形に仕立て、耳際を薄手の碁石形状にし、さらに土手耳にして木瓜形に地を彫り込むなど複雑で洒落た造り込み。耳際には毛彫で唐草を廻らし、葉の一部に赤銅色絵を加えて豪華な風合いを強めている。極肉高の鋤出彫で立体感に溢れた主題の松と梅は、赤銅色絵に繊細な毛彫を加えた松葉に暖か味のある濃厚な金色絵になる梅花が鮮やか。勝成の最高傑作の一。 保存刀装具鑑定書

The NBTHK (Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kyōkai, the Society for the Preservation of Japanese Art Swords) is a public-interest incorporated foundation founded in 1948 and supervised by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs (Bunkachō); it is based at the Japanese Sword Museum in Tokyo. Its expert panels physically examine each submitted work (shinsa) and issue a certificate (kanteishō) ranking it by artistic and historical merit. NBTHK papers are the most widely recognized standard of authentication for Japanese swords and fittings.
