This is a katana made by Kasama Ikkansai Shigetsugu in February 1932. Shigetsugu was a prominent Gendaito smith, a master at the Nihonto Tanrenjo and chief smith at the Tokiwamatsu Token Kenkyujo, known for his Bizen-den and Yamato-den styles. This blade features a beautiful sugata with a vibrant gunome-choji midare hamon, and comes with a Hozon Token certificate and a gold-plated double habaki.
