This is a tanto crafted by Gassan Sadakatsu, residing in Osaka, dated to a lucky day in August of the Taisho 3rd year (1914). It features a hira-zukuri (flat construction) form with gunome hamon (irregular temper line) in Soshu-den style, characterized by nie-deki (boiling-like crystals). The blade comes with a sayagaki (scabbard inscription) by Gassan Sadatoshi.
