This is a tanto by Nagahiro, a swordsmith of the Choshu domain's Mori family during the late Edo period. He trained under Sukenaga, a master of choji-midare hamon, and was known as Shinryushi. He initially established his forge in Hagi Castle town in Nagato province, later moving to Yamaguchi Castle town in Suo province with the relocation of the domain government.
