NihontoWatchNihontoWatch藤原久幸造之,藤原久幸作幕府臣川井久幸,幕府士川井久幸などと銘を切る。川井亀太郎。幕府の旗本で江戸小石川に住む。細川正義門人で腕前良く人気刀匠です。この刀は、茎刻銘から六十九歳の時の作品で、新井秀堅という幕末の侍からの注文刀であることがわかります。 本作は鎬造りで、未幅も重ねもしっかりとして頗る健体な刀で。地金は板目肌が練れて地沸がつく明るく強そうな鍛地です。刃紋も明るく冴える互の目が乱れる刃で、焼き幅が高すぎず実用に備えたものです。刃中は足入り、砂流しかかり金線が盛んに働き変化に富んで覇気があります。帽子は、そのまま乱れて先はき掛け小丸へ返ります。生ぶ茎。付属する拵は渋く鞘は時代の革巻鞘です。柄も革巻という、実用を重んじた質実剛健な感をうけるもので、飾りが無いようでありながらシックな感じでお洒落感が漂う作です。鍔もなんとなく忍者を想像する六角のもので赤銅覆輪が掛けられるなどして、黒一色にまとめられた拵です。この刀を帯刀していた武士は、ただ者ではない御方であられたろうと推察させられます。藤原久幸の遺作で、短刀と脇差は間々見ますが、刀はあるようで少なく。刃紋も乱れが少なかったように記憶しております。本刀は川井久幸を語るうえで貴重な資料となる刀で、幕末の騒然とした世の中に生きた腕の立つ武士の帯刀であった様子がうかがい知れる一振です。白鞘、金着せ一重はばき、附 皺皮包鞘打刀拵。

The NBTHK (Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kyōkai, the Society for the Preservation of Japanese Art Swords) is a public-interest incorporated foundation founded in 1948 and supervised by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs (Bunkachō); it is based at the Japanese Sword Museum in Tokyo. Its expert panels physically examine each submitted work (shinsa) and issue a certificate (kanteishō) ranking it by artistic and historical merit. NBTHK papers are the most widely recognized standard of authentication for Japanese swords and fittings.
