This is a small tanto by 11th generation Izumi no Kami Kanesada, dated February 1869. The blade features a double-edged design with a fine ko-itame hada and a straight hamon with some rough nioi. The tang has a chrysanthemum crest, which is also found on the koshirae and habaki.
