The bundle of noshi is a ceremonial design of many noshi tied together, an auspicious motif wishing for longevity, prosperity, and good matches. Additionally, the fan is an auspicious design symbolizing future development and prosperity, as its shape gradually widens toward the tip when opened, known as "suehigari." It is an auspicious composition combining two auspicious motifs. The mei is "Tadanori saku." From the style of the mei and the workmanship, this Tadanori is the Tadanori who was a pupil of the Akasaka third generation Tadatoki. There are first and second generations, but distinguishing between the generations is said to be difficult. It is a refined tsuba with the dignity characteristic of Akasaka tsuba.
