Description

This is a large naginata by Kanenaga, a student of Kunitsugu from the Tegai school in Yamato province. Dating back to the Muromachi period (Koto), it features a straight temper line with flowing masame grain and is in remarkably healthy condition with a single mekugi-ana. Measuring 57.1cm in nagasa, this powerful blade embodies the deep character of Koto swords.
