Description

This antique Japanese katana is signed by Hokkyo Rai Kunitsugu, a distinguished swordsmith from Echizen province during the early Edo period. He was an apprentice of Yamato Daijo Masanori and later adopted the Buddhist name Nyudo Jutetsu. The blade comes with an NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Certificate and includes a koshirae with a butterfly-themed tsuba.
