Description

This katana is attributed to Echizen Daijō Kunitsugu, active during the early Edo period (1624–1644) and a member of the prestigious Horikawa school. Kunitsugu was a disciple of Dewa Daijō Kunimichi and often performed Daisaku for his master, leading to few signed blades by him. The blade comes with an NBTHK Hozon Certificate, confirming its authenticity and artistic value, and is accompanied by a koshirae featuring an Ami-Sakura-zu motif on the Fuchi-Kashira and a dragon-themed Menuki.
