This is an antique katana sword made by swordsmith Fujiwara Kunitsugu around 1625, during the early Edo era. The blade is made of authentic forged Tamahagane steel and features a great mixture of Gunome wavy and Suguha straight tempered line patterns. It comes in a stunning ornate mounting including a beautiful openworked Tsuba guard and is accompanied by a certificate of NBTHK Japan Sword Preservation Society - Hozon Paper.
