This is a wakizashi attributed to the Shimohara school from the late Muromachi period, though the signature's authenticity is difficult to determine due to multiple generations using the name Yasushige. It features a tanago-bara style nakago, itame-hada mixed with masame-hada, and a gunome-midare hamon with active kinsuji. The blade comes with a koshirae in good condition, and despite an old polish, the jihada and hamon are clearly visible.
