Description

This is a fuchi-kashira set by Banryuken Sadanaka, a prominent figure of the Ichinomiya school during the middle Edo period. The design features a lion, peony, and butterflies on a shakudo nanako ground, characteristic of Kyoto kinko (metalwork) with its refined elegance. Sadanaka is believed to be the same person as Tsunenao and also produced works under Tsunenaga's name.
