This is a scarlet-laced gold-scaled Do-maru Gusoku, said to have been bestowed upon Ii Naotaka by the Tokugawa Shogun family. The kabuto is signed by Saotome Iesada, and its provenance is recorded in the Tokugawa Jikki. It is also mentioned that Tokugawa Ieyasu wore it during the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600.
