Description

This is a wakizashi by the 1st generation Kawachi-no-kami Fujiwara Kunisuke, a prominent smith from the early Edo period. It features a wide mihaba, thick kasane, and sakizori curvature, with a kenmaki-ryu carving on the omote and double grooves with a Sanskrit character on the ura. The blade is certified as NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Token.
