NihontoWatchOwazamono Gendaito by Seki ju Masanao saku / Tameshigiri sword 「体配」 体配は鎬造り庵棟、身幅太く重尋常、鳥居反り、中鋒。茎は生で鑢目は筋違い、茎尻はやや刃上がりの栗尻と成る。 「地鉄」 板目肌が流れ柾と成り、地沸付。 「刃紋」 互の目、匂口明るく、刃緑沸が付き砂流しかかる。帽子は乱れ込み小丸に返る。 「特徴」 関住正直、本名は中田勝郎。岐阜県関市在住で義父の兼秀刀匠に師事する。正直刀匠の刀は戸山流の方が良く使っておられ、故河野貞光刀匠に匹敵する隠れた大業物として、試斬をされている方々の中では有名です。 本作品は、玉鋼を使用した、真面目に作られた作品です。身幅太くゴリッとした刀姿が豪壮です。重量は有りますがバランス良く、実際よりも軽く感じます。また拵は新品の未使用です。是非平成の大業物の切れ味を体感してください。 「拵」 ハバキ:銀無垢一重の腰祐乗。 鍔 :鉄地木瓜形梅の図。 縁頭 :竹籠の図。 目貫 :金地流の図。 柄 :柄巻は正絹黒色の諸捻り巻き。 鞘 :黒呂。 「刀身の状態」 研:良好です。 傷:欠点になるような傷は無いです。

The twentieth century nearly killed the craft twice: wartime distortion, then the occupation ban. The NBTHK’s founding in 1948 and licensed forging from 1953 rebuilt the sword as an art, crowned by Living National Treasures and the mukansa rank.
