This listing features a katana made by Yasumitsu, inscribed with the date Heisei 17 (2005). Yasumitsu, born in 1956, began sword making in 1973, inheriting his father's techniques while expanding his style, particularly inspired by the late Edo period smith Kiyomaro. He has received awards at the Shinsaku Meito Ten for both tachi and tanto.
