Description

This wakizashi is signed by Hoki no kami Fujiwara no Hirotaka, dated Kanbun 8 (1668), and made in Echizen province. It features a robust construction with a pursuit of thrusting utility, a well-forged jitetsu with active ji-nie and fine chikei, and a hamon that transitions from small gunome to an irregular, wider pattern. The blade comes with a shirasaya and a koshirae featuring a seasonal theme with various fittings.
