This is an antique Kougai, a traditional hair ornament for Samurai, featuring a Chikubai-zu (bamboo and plum blossom) design. Crafted from copper during the Edo period, it utilizes traditional techniques such as Nanakoji, Takabori, and Kin-iroe. The piece is unsigned and measures 21.0cm in length.
