NihontoWatchNihontoWatch本作は、鉄磨地に龍と虎を高彫象嵌色絵で表した縁頭。龍虎は共に強大な力をもつ実力伯仲の英雄や豪傑を例える表現で古来より数多く描かれてきた画題。 頭には龍と虎が噛み合い、縁には龍と虎が対峙する姿を彫り描く。両者の姿態を高彫で立体的に表現し、眼に金色絵を加えることで、緊張感と躍動感が生まれている。作柄より江戸後期の江戸金工作であろう。丁寧に彫り込んだ迫力ある龍虎図縁頭。
