This is a wakizashi by Minamoto Tsunahiro from Yamashiro province, dating to the Kanbun era (1661~). The blade features a wide body with a shallow sori and a suguba-based hamon with ko-notare and gunome. The blade comes with a shirasaya, habaki, registration paper, and Hozon certificate from NBTHK. Its expert panels physically examine each submitted work (shinsa) and issue a certificate (kanteishō) ranking it by artistic and historical merit. NBTHK papers are the most widely recognized standard of authentication for Japanese swords and fittings.
