This is a hirazukuri wakizashi signed by Masatoshi, also known as Sakakura Seki, from the late Muromachi period (around Tenmon era). He was a Mino swordsmith who had a forge in Sakakura. It is believed he had technical exchanges with the Muramasa school due to regional connections and the similarity of his 'Masa' character in the signature.
