NihontoWatch出ました出ました濃州関住兼道刀匠は岐阜県関を代表する名工としてあまりにも全国的にも有名です。本名小島時二郎氏。明治35年生。国工院名誉会員大宗匠。初めは善定兼吉門に入り後渡辺兼永刀匠の門に入り研鑽に努めました。名工であり技術の指導力が有る為に兼道刀匠の弟子になりたい希望者が多くお弟子さんが大変多い名伯楽で指導力の有る刀匠です。本刀は昭和15年兼道刀匠40歳の時の渾身の魂を込めた作です。刀の姿はやや腰反りで元身幅と先身幅の差の有る中切っ先の堂々とした刀姿を現し、地金は小板目肌良く詰んだ地金を鍛え上げ、刃紋は関の孫六兼元を写して匂い出来に小沸の付いた互の目刃に尖り互の目刃を交え三本杉風の覇気有る刃を焼き良く出来ています。拵えも現代の黒ロー鞘の付いた拵が本刀に一段と華を添えています。この度古い御数寄者様から自分も年を取りましたので後進の方にお安くお譲り下さいとお預かりした為に関の代表刀工の兼道刀匠の刀を特別に格安にて御提供いたします是非お楽しみ下さい。
