This is an unsigned katana, attributed to Kazusa no Kami Munemichi of the Shimosaka school, active in Echizen province during the early Edo period (around 1670). Originally a longer tachi, it was shortened to its current length of 69.8 cm. The blade features a bo-hi carving and comes with an NBTHK Hozon Token certificate.

NBTHK papers are the most widely recognized standard of authentication for Japanese swords and fittings.
