This is a Tokubetsu Juyo Token designated katana attributed to Gou Yoshihiro, a legendary swordsmith from the late Kamakura period known as one of Masamune's ten disciples. The blade is o-suriage mumei, exhibiting a vibrant jihada with ko-itame mixed with mokume and flowing grain, and a bright, active hamon with strong nie and various activities. It is considered an outstanding example of Gou Yoshihiro's work.
