This is a Juyo Token designated tanto by Shintogo Kunihiro, a master smith from the late Kamakura period and a representative of the Soshu school. Though unsigned (ubu mumei), it is attributed to Kunihiro and features a finely forged jitetsu with thick ji-nie and chikei, and a suguha-cho hamon with deep nioi and frequent kinsuji. The tanto is housed in a shirasaya and comes with a sayagaki by Dr. Kunzan.
