H504. Fine iron tsuba. 7.1 x 7.1 x .4 cm. The nakago hitsu-ana is .8 x 2.5 cm. Another piece from the Holbrook collection; this one, according to Skip, is Ko Shoami. First class iron with a luscious soft patina and prominent lineal tekkotsu on the rim (much nicer than my photos capture). As Skip mentions in his notes, there are traces of gold nunome zogan and there never was much of this to begin with; the iron is the story here. Excellent condition.

Without one, the attribution is the seller’s own assessment and has not been independently verified — treat it with caution and ask the dealer about certification before buying.
