NihontoWatchNihontoWatch浜部美濃守藤原寿格、壽格(としのり)は名を浜部九郎左衛門といい延享三年に鳥取城下に生まれました。天明五年に美濃守を受領。藤掛甚六兼先に学び、初銘は兼賀で、後に壽格と改銘しました。武蔵や備前、大坂などで活躍して鳥取藩工になり、多くの門人を育てた寿格は因幡を代表する刀工です。源清麿の源流とも云われています。 この刀は、寛政八年の年紀がのこる御刀で松平定信の寛政の改革の最中に精鍛されたとみられる御刀です。刃長は二尺一寸二分で、身幅は元先がたっぷり、反りを控えて鋒が猪首ごころの端正な姿になるガッシリとした姿が魅力的な一振です。地鉄はよく練れて美しく締まった板目肌鍛で地沸がついて鉄色は明るく冴えています。刃紋は匂主体の直ぐで焼き出し、互の目になり、次第に荒く、飛び焼きを交えて丁子が乱れる刃で、匂い口が明るく見ごたえ十分な刃紋です。帽子は直ぐで確り深く小丸へ返ります。茎の保存状態は良好です。茎尻は刃上がりの剣形にきっちりと仕立てられ、太鏨の銘字が鮮やかに切られています。本作は浜部美濃守藤原寿格の寛政八丙辰年二月日年紀が刻された注文打であろう御刀です。清麿の源流と云われ名人と名高い、浜部寿格の高い技量を余すところなく示した刀の優品です。白鞘、銀着時代はばき、保存刀剣鑑定書。

The NBTHK (Nihon Bijutsu Tōken Hozon Kyōkai, the Society for the Preservation of Japanese Art Swords) is a public-interest incorporated foundation founded in 1948 and supervised by Japan’s Agency for Cultural Affairs (Bunkachō); it is based at the Japanese Sword Museum in Tokyo. Its expert panels physically examine each submitted work (shinsa) and issue a certificate (kanteishō) ranking it by artistic and historical merit. NBTHK papers are the most widely recognized standard of authentication for Japanese swords and fittings.
