NihontoWatchShimizu Tadatsugu (Shimizu Tadatsugu) tosho was born in Taisho 10 in Katsushika, Tokyo. He began making swords relatively late, entering the apprenticeship of the first generation Yoshihara Kuniie tosho in his late thirties, and applied what he learned through his own practice of iaijutsu and battojutsu to his swordmaking.
