Description

This antique Japanese katana is attributed to Motoyuki, specifically the first generation who was active during the Hōreki era (mid-Edo period, 1751-1764) in Hizen Province. The smith, originally named Yukihira, later received the name Motoyuki from the prestigious Hon-Ami school, indicating his high skill. The blade comes with an NTHK Kanteisho Certificate, a shirasaya case, and a traditional sword carrying case.
