This katana is signed Bungo no Kami Minamoto Masazane, who resided in Nagoya, Owari province, during the early Edo period. It features a well-forged ko-itame hada with some mokume and jifu, and a vibrant gunome midare hamon with choji and togari-gokoro. The blade comes with both a shirasaya and a kuro-ro-nuri saya uchigatana koshirae, and is certified as Tokubetsu Hozon Token.
