This is a Gendaito katana made by Yoshitsugu, whose real name is Junji Yamada, from Yatsushiro, Kumamoto Prefecture. He was a student of Tanikawa Morikichi and has won numerous awards for his work, often replicating the style of Kiyomaro. The blade comes in a shirasaya.
