Description

This is a wakizashi made by the 3rd generation Yasutsugu of Echizen during the early Edo period. The blade features a straight temper line with some undulation and a mixture of small and medium sized patterns, with deep nioi and small nie. The koshirae includes a mokume lacquer scabbard and fittings with aoi (hollyhock) motifs.
