Description

This is a tanto koshirae (mounting) from the Edo period, featuring a design of sea bream, plum blossoms, and cherry blossoms. The fuchi-kashira are iron with cherry blossom design and nunome-zogan inlay, and the menuki depict sea bream in katachibori with gold iroe. The overall length is 39.5cm, and it is in generally good condition despite some signs of use. It does not include a kozuka.
