Description

This antique Japanese wakizashi was forged by Bushu Jyu Yasushige, believed to be the first generation, active during the Tenbun era (1532-1555) of the Late Muromachi period. Yasushige belonged to the Bushu Shitahara school, located in today's Tokyo, and was one of its most famous smiths. The blade comes with an NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon Certificate, confirming its historical and artistic value, and is accompanied by a complete koshirae featuring Kara-Jishi and dog motifs.
