Description

This Wakizashi was signed by Bizen Koku Osafune Jyu Sukesada in February 1720, during the mid-Edo period. He was a prominent figure of the Bizen Osafune school, known for revitalizing sword-forging after a devastating flood. The blade comes with a Koshirae featuring a clematis and vine design, and a waterwheel-themed Menuki, and is certified Tokubetsu Hozon by the NBTHK.
