Description

This antique katana is signed by Awa no Kami Yasutsuna, a prominent swordsmith of the Kishu Ishido school during the early Edo period (Kanbun era). The blade features a cutting edge length of 73.7 cm and comes with a full koshirae mounting, shirasaya, and an NBTHK Hozon Certificate. Yasutsuna was an apprentice of Bitchu no Kami Tachibana Yasuhiro, the founder of the Kishu Ishido school, and forged swords near Wakayama castle.
