This is a Katana from the Senjuin school, originally forged as a tachi during the Kamakura period. It features a superb jigane with itame, nagare, and mokume, covered in ji-nie and chikei, and a captivating utsuri. The blade is accompanied by a mid-Edo period uchigatana-koshirae with fittings that tell stories of the Sengoku era, including a tsuba with the Go-Hôjô clan crest and menuki with Honda daimyô family crests.
