This is an iron tsuba signed by Choshu Hagi Ju Nyudo Tomoyuki, featuring perfectly crisp carving of two large ships and a small boat with three sailors on the front, and another small boat with passengers below a mountain on the back. The tsuba measures 7.3 x 7.9 x 0.4 cm and is in excellent condition. It is attributed to the Choshu school and likely dates to the Edo period.
