Description

This katana was made by Katsuie in the late Muromachi period. Katsuie is said to be the son of Chiyozuru Kunitsugu of Echizen, who was a follower of Rai Kuniyasu. The blade has been significantly shortened, but the width difference between the base and tip is beautiful. The koshirae is custom-made and in excellent condition.
