This is a work by the 2nd generation Omi Daijo Tadahiro, the legitimate son of the 1st generation Tadayoshi. Tadahiro began making swords at the age of 19 and continued for over 60 years, leaving behind the most works among Hizen swordsmiths. This piece features a fine ko-itame hada with ji-nie, delicate chikei forming a 'konuka-hada', and a chu-suguha hamon with deep nioi, thick nie, kinsuji, and sunagashi, typical of the 2nd generation Tadahiro's style.
