This is a katana by Fujiwara Usaku, also known as Suzuki Munehide, who was born in Himeji, Harima Province during the Edo period. The blade features a narrow saki-haba compared to moto-haba, a high sori, and a chu-kissaki. The jigane is a tightly forged ko-itame with fine chikei and delicate nie throughout, while the hamon is a nie-deki midare-ba mixed with suguha, showing kinsuji and sunagashi, reminiscent of high-grade Soshu-den works.
