Description

This is a katana by Hiromitsu, who was a student of Kanemitsu and served as his assistant for over two years. Hiromitsu, whose real name was Kawai Koshichi, was a retainer of the Yanagisawa family of the Yamato Koriyama domain. He received the title of Osumi no Kami during the Keio era (1865-1868), indicating his superior skill as a swordsmith.
