Nanbokucho
This is a rare Koto katana, likely from the Nanbokucho period or earlier, featuring a two-body cutting test inscription by Murai Saburōsaemon, highlighted with red lacquer. The blade appears to be a Yamashiro-den work, with a strong argument for Higo Enju. It is in a recent polish by Takeo Seki, displaying a wet ko-itame jihada covered thickly with ji-nie, and a suguha-based hamon in ko-nie.
