Description

This is a tsuba featuring a ginkgo leaf design, made by Kinaizaku of Echizen province during the Edo period. The tsuba is made of polished iron with openwork carving and a raised edge. The design features three ginkgo leaves, a common motif in Kinaizaku tsuba along with dragon and hollyhock designs.
