This is a katana made by Gassan Sadakatsu from Osaka. Sadakatsu was the son of the first-generation Gassan Sadakazu and a representative swordsmith from the 20th century. This work is an excellent example of the Ayasugi-hada established by his grandfather Sadayoshi and is in healthy condition with the original edge completely intact.
