Description

This is an oval-shaped tsuba made of shakudō nanako ground, featuring a design of cherry blossoms carved in high relief with dot inlay for the pistils. It is attributed to Bushū Masanaga, a metalsmith active in the mid-Edo period who entered Shogun Ienobu's service in 1710. The tsuba comes with an NBTHK Hozon Certificate and is presented in a Kiri box.
