Description

This is a gracefully shaped tachi by Bishu Osafune Yukihisa, an active Bizen swordsmith during the Oei era of the Muromachi period. It features a well-forged ko-itame hada with utsuri and a hamon of gunome and choji-midare. The sword comes with an excellent Edo period tachi koshirae, adorned with over 60 Hidari Mitsudomoe family crests, and was formerly owned by the prestigious Arima family.
